Welcome Art Students!I am excited about our time together in art this year. We are going to have lots of fun creating unique artwork! There is no homework for our first day of class, just a few reminders about what to bring with you on Tuesday.
As I mentioned at the orientation, we don't use a textbook for art. I will handing out a lot of worksheets and information that we will be review from time to time as we get into specific projects we are working on. The dividers will hopefully help to keep all the papers organized.
In your notebook you will label the dividers in the following order:
Art History
Elements of Art
Principles of Design
Artists and Projects
Worksheets and Notes (in this section, add a little notebook paper)
In class on Tuesday, I will be going over a few things about class, and handing out papers that you will take home, read over with your parents, sign and bring back to me the following week.
Bring the following to class next week:
notebook
sketchbook
drawing pencils
eraser
pencil sharpener
2 poster boards (these can be any color)
