For next week;

1. Complete the 3 warm-up drawing worksheets.

2. Finish the upside down drawing in your sketchbook that we started in class.

3. Complete the vases/faces exercises in your sketchbook. Do 3 separate drawings of normal profiles and 3 odd (monster, grotesque) profiles in your sketchbook.  If you are having trouble coming up with normal profiles take some examples from the handout from class, the odd ones will have to come from your imagination. One drawing per page in your sketchbook, which will be a total of 6 separate drawings. Use the whole page!
4. Complete the 2nd upside down drawing of the " man sitting in a chair," on the separate piece of drawing paper I handed out to you in class. It will be easiest while looking at the handout upside down, to start drawing on your paper from the top down. You are viewing the handout upside down, you are drawing exactly what you see.  Look at the lines; where they are and what kind you see and draw them on the paper. This exercise will help you improve your observation skills and this in turn will help to improve your drawing skill over time.

5. Review the shape worksheet.

6. Go to and view https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJzGkZwkHt4

7. Bring your sketchpad, notebook, pencils, erasers, sharpener etc. If you have any poster boards bring those as well.

I will be checking your sketchbooks from time to time to make sure that you are doing the drawing exercises I am assigning each week. Be sure that you have completed those drawings each week because they are being counted as points toward your overall grade. I will be checking them next week. Be looking for an email from me this week to give you some details about your sketchbook.

Have a great week! flower
