Subject: Art homework due 9/1 Tue 25 Aug 2015, 6:27 pm
For this week:
Be sure to look over the Art history timeline and review the Elements of Art line worksheets. File these into the marked tab section for future reference. Each week you will receive handouts to add to your notebook.
1. Read over Art Class Expectations and How to Get an A in Art. Sign the small slip of paper and bring it back to to class.
2. Be sure to complete the 3 drawing warm up worksheets. You will draw the same line drawing in the first box all the way down the row. This exercise helps pencil control much like cursive writing. Try to complete a page a day. You will be receiving warm up drawing worksheets each week to give you practice drawing and will increase in difficulty as you continue to develop your drawing skills.
4. Complete the Expressive Line Drawing and Constructive/ Directional Line Drawing, on the separate pieces of drawing paper I handed out to you in class. Complete in pencil. If you feel confident about your drawing ability you can use sharpie. The upside to using pencil only, is if you make a mistake you can erase it. The upside to using a sharpie is the design is much bolder. The downside is that if you make a mistake, you can't erase it. I leave the option of pencil or sharpies up to you. The main goal of these drawing is to show that you followed the directions for each of the exercises and know the difference between expressive and constructive /directional lines.
5. For class next week, bring your sketchpad, notebook, drawing pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sharpies and poster boards if you forgot to bring them the first day
Let me know if you have any questions about anything. Have a great week!
