Writing: Complete the Expanding the Core Sentence Worksheet.  On a separate sheet of paper, write 2 additional core sentences and use the same process to expand those sentences.  If you are having trouble coming up with core sentence ideas, you may use any of the examples below.  However, you do not have to use these; these are just ones in case you are stuck.
The cat meowed.
The child fell.
My mom laughed.
The runner tripped.
