Due February 2nd:
1. Complete test for module 9. This is due Thursday by midnight.
2. Read module 10 through the On Your Own questions on page 333.
3. Complete Review Questions 1-4.
4. Complete Practice Problems 1-4.
Note: Our first lab for the year will be next Thursday, February 4th.
EXTRA-CREDIT: For 10 points extra credit, pick your favorite polyatomic ion from the table on page and create a three-dimensional model of it. To receive full credit your model must have the correct molecular structure. Bring it with you to class next week to receive the extra-credit. This is a great practical application of what we are learning.
Finally, here are a couple of hints for the module 10 practice problems:
a. It is possible to end up with ions in your chemical equations.
b. Water can be either an acid or a base.
c. You have to balance not only the coefficients and the subscripts in your chemical equations, but look at any changes in your atoms when constructing your molecules.
