* Read through the handout, "17 Signs That You'd Qualify as a Witch in 1692."
* Read through your notes on "Making Arguments."
* In your logical fallacies packet, look at the third page. For the types of logical fallacies that we covered in class (Ad hominem, ad populum, begging the question, circular reasoning, false analogy, hasty generalizations, non-sequitur, and red herring) go on a "scavenger hunt." Look through political campaign speeches, newspaper and magazine ads, TV or internet ads, other informational texts, essays, opinion pieces, etc. to find examples of each kind of logical fallacy. On your sheets, identify where you found your example and explain why it is an example of that kind of fallacy.
* Complete the packet over The Crucible that was handed out in class. Note that you won't actually be reading The Crucible this week. These are all pre-reading activities. Thank you for having your books ready to go. Please bring them to class next week!
Let me know if you have any questions, and have a wonderful week!
