Do 12 push-ups, three different days. If you usually do all your push ups on your knees…try to do at least one or two on your toes and then drop to your knees.

Do 15 sit-ups, four different days. (Raise the number if that is to easy.)

Continue to learn the following terms given on the quizlet website:

For white belts, practice the first three moves of your kisos. For offense: Low punch, middle punch, high punch. For defense: Low block, middle block, high block. You should be in sheeko dachi for each one of those moves.
For yellow belts, practice moves one through six.

Our in class practicum (demonstration) will be the week we return from fall break, which is October 20
th. You are expected to be able to demonstrate:
a.
First Basic – (Or whatever the highest kata that you know)
b.
Kisos –(Moves one through three; or however many you have learned)
c.
Body shifts - (forward punch, and kick, forward punch)
d.
Kicks - (Mae geri, mae ashi geri and yoko geri)
e.
Blocks - (Jodan uke, soto uke, and gedan uke)
f.
Stances - You should be able to demonstrate the following stances when given them in
Japanese: masuba dachi (bowing stance), kamae dachi (fighting stance) and zenkutsa dachi (forward stance used throughout First Basic).
You are not expected to have
mastery of these things…but you are expected to demonstrate a working knowledge of what you are being taught.
It will be graded!! 6.
Practice all katas that you know for 15 continuous minutes. If you were given feedback in class today, work on those specific things.
