Due April 26th:
1. Do 100 push-ups over the course of the week.
2. Do 100 sit-ups over the course of the week
3. Practice all katas twice during the week. Spend at least 15 minutes each time.
4. Practice all the moves of kisos that you know. Blue belts practice Kihon #1 as well.
5. Practice your spinning side kick. Practice the way we did in class today. Rotate and then cock the kick, then freeze. Make sure you are stable, then execute the kick. Do at least 10 on each leg.
6. Next week, we will have our final written test. Here are the terms I expect you to know for the quiz. We will take this written quiz in class next Tuesday, April 26th. J Note: I have added in a few additional terms this week. Don’t miss them. They are under “General Terms” below.
Punches/Strikes:
a. ippon nukite: one finger strike
b. tatei: short, vertical strike
c. tetsui: hammer strike
d. haito: ridgehand strike
e. jun-tsuki: forward punch
f. tsuki: punch/strike
