Writing HW due Sept. 22^nd:
 
1.  Read the poem, “Upon the Burning of Our House” by Anne Bradstreet.

4.  Follow the instructions on your handout of “Upon the Burning of our House” to the letter!  BE SURE TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS SPECIFICALLY AND THOROUGHLY!
5.  Anne Bradstreet’s “Upon the Burning of our House” is a narrative poem…it shares a story in poetic form.  It is an emotional telling of how she feels upon the loss of her home.  Model her poem by sharing a story of your own that relates to a loss or tragedy in your life and how it made you feel.  Challenge yourself to try a new poetic term that you have not used yet. 
6.  Be sure to follow Poetry Rubric #2 precisely! 
7.  Remember to print out your rubric, fill out #5, and circle YES OR NO to #9 &10.
