Having had an idyllic childhood which Jean Louise gives credit mostly to her father, Atticus, she seemingly “did not know that she worshipped him” (118).  She puts him high on a pedestal that is about to come crashing down along with everything else which is most important to her in her world.  In ch. 9, JL ruminates about her father’s strong character traits that he has imparted to her and makes her who she is.  Then, in ch. 10, she does a complete turnabout and thinks in regards to Atticus, “If you had only spat in my face…” (119).  How does she initially react to this deeply disturbing conundrum that she faces? Discuss 3 points of proof.
